In 1981, the bishops of the world together with the late Blessed John Paul II issued a post syndoal apostolic exhortation, “The Christian Family in the Modern world”. A precious blueprint and anchor for families amidst much confusion and stress, its message is of even more urgent importance 25 years later.

Indeed, while family life is still a precious thing among many Singaporeans, the rat race and a society which tends to measure people solely in economic terms is threatening the well being of the family.
