It was indeed an afternoon of fun for more than 100 participants who came for the Prawning & Fishing Event held at Fish@AMK, The Grassroots Club, on 2 January, a day before most children head back to school for a new school year.

Kids were thrilled as they tried catching the longkang fishes. Some older kids also joined in to help their younger siblings. And it was heart warming to witness kids helping the younger ones who were not their siblings as well.

Adults, some older children and youths had their fair share of fun too catching Big Head Prawns. Some were lucky and to catch yabbies! There was on the spot barbeque of prawns and yabbies. What a sweet and juicy tea time treat!

For two hours, as the participants were busy with their catch, they were also treated to live music and free traditional ice cream.
