26^th Sunday of Ordinary Time 

"For whosoever shall give you to drink a cup of water in my name, because you belong to Christ: amen I say to you, he shall not lose his reward."

Jesus highlights the significance of even the smallest acts of love and service done in His name. As families, we are called to reflect Christ’s love in the simplest of gestures toward one another, whether in a kind word, an act of patience, or a prayer shared together. These actions, though small, have eternal significance in building up a home rooted in Christ’s love.

On the other hand, Jesus warns of the severity of sowing discord and sin. As parents, spouses, and siblings, we must vigilantly guard our hearts and actions, ensuring that nothing within our family leads others away from Christ. The command to cut off anything that causes us to sin serves as a reminder to purify our homes from influences that could harm the spiritual well-being of our children and loved ones. By striving for holiness in our words, choices, and relationships, we lead our families toward the everlasting life promised by Christ.
