If you have, you'll know that fishing isn't very easy. There are qualities you need to be a good fisherman. You'll need to be patient, observant and determined.

There will be times that you may sit out and spend hours upon hours waiting for that first catch, only to be left disappointed.

As we reflect on this week's readings, we see Christ calling for us to evangelise. Just as difficult as fishing is, evangelising is no walk in the park either, especially in the context of family.

It is the people who are closest to us who sometimes pose the greatest challenge. Although we may feel hopeless, remember what makes for good fishermen, be patient, observant and determined, but above all, put our trust in Christ Himself.
