Dr Christopher Cheok

Chief and Senior Consultant, Dept of Forensic Psychiatry, Institute of Mental Health

Christopher is a psychiatrist of Senior Consultant and Chief with the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH).  He is also a visiting consultant for the Singapore Armed Forces. Christopher goes well beyond a traditional psychiatry remit. His work breaks down barriers and makes mental health services much more accessible to all, especially people who are already disadvantaged.

Fr Ambrose Vaz

Fr Ambrose was ordained in 1981. His vocation has seen him serve in the Archdiocese of Singapore in a variety of capacities. He formerly served as the Vicar General (Pastoral) in the Archdiocese and has been the Spiritual Director for Catholic Family Life, Caritas, Marriage Preparation Course and Catholic Engaged Encounter among others. Fr Ambrose has a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, and also served as Director of the Biblical Apostalate. He is passionate in teaching scripture and journeying together with married couples and couples discerning marriage.

She heads the Special Education programme at the university and is currently working on some research projects involving individuals with special needs. She has a special interest in the area of autism and has been in the special needs field in Singapore for 15 years. In terms of the child/adults sector, she was a special education teacher, a principal of a special school and she also worked in the social service sector for the adult disability sector. Eunice has a child with autism who has high support needs. She is a strong supporter and advocator for quality of life for all individuals with special needs, including  the most challenged in our commuity.

Daniel Ng

Principal Therapist, Catholic Family Life

Daniel is a husband and father of two teenagers. He is the Principal Therapist at Catholic Family Life (CFL) and has over 20 years of experience in counselling and therapy. He spent more than 13 years in KKH Women’s and Children’s Hospital providing clinical services to paediatric patients and their families. In his current role at CFL, Daniel manages the daily operations and clinical standards of the counselling services. He manages a team of full-time therapists and associate therapists, while also providing clinical support and supervision to the team of pro-bono counsellors.

Caritas, the Umbrella Body for All Social Service Agencies Under the Catholic Church.

Juliana is the Executive Director of Caritas Singapore, the official social and community arm of the Catholic Church in Singapore. Having originally been an MOE-trained teacher in Economics with 8 years of teaching experience in a Junior College, Juliana has been serving in the non-profit sector since 2016.  She is happily married with 2 teenage boys and has been an active volunteer in various organisations such as the Catholic Business Network and Caritas Humanitarian Aid & Relief Initiatives.

Dr Margaret Lee

Margaret is a mother of two daughters and grandmother to one boy and a baby girl (due in 2 months!). Her experience in Educations spans over 40 years, with her last appointment as Principal of CHIJ Primary, Toa Payoh. Presently, Margaret is the Director of Missions and Formation, CHIJ Sisters. She obtained her Doctorate in Educational Management from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), and is also the Chairperson of the Executive Committee at Church of the Blessed Sacrement.

Archbishop's Communications Office

André is a familiar face and voice to Singaporeans for his nearly 35 years of broadcast experience in television and radio. He now works full time as Director Public Affairs and Media Relations, and Head Broadcast Media in the Office of the Archbishop of Singapore, Cardinal William Goh. Most of all, he is happily married with four children and three grandchildren. André continues to update his passion for communications in the Church by attending professional courses in-person or online conducted by the Faculty of Institutional Social Communication, Pontifical University of Santa Croce (Rome).

Fr Krish Mathavan

MSC

Fr Krish is a Missionary of the Sacred Heart (MSC) from the Australian Province. He professed his first vows in 2011 and was ordained a priest in 2017. Prior to discerning the MSC vocation, Krish studied biotechnology in the University of New South Wales in Australia and worked as a junior research fellow in the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. After ministering in parishes in Adelaide and Hobart as an assistant and parish priest respectively, Krish is on home leave from 2023 in Singapore helping to look after his father who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He now balances his time between caregiving for dad and pastoral and sacramental ministry as a priest in Singapore.

Pauline Wong

Executive Director, Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools

Pauline has been married for over 37 years, and is a mother of three adult children, and grandmother to a 4-year old boy. At heart, she is an educator, serving in the Ministry of Education for 38 years, 18 years of which was spent helming Holy Innocents' High School and CHIJ St. Theresa's Convent. Presently, she is Executive Director of the Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools (ACCS), and works closely with the archdiocesan organisations and communities to strengthen the ethos of our schools.

Theresa Bung

Therapist Emeritus, Catholic Family Life

Theresa has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. Theresa’s training spans across Gestalt Therapy, Satir Therapy, Solution Focus Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotional Focus Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

 

She is an experienced clinical supervisor and is passionate in developing and mentoring less experienced therapists. She has also been featured in various print and online media sharing her expertise regarding relationships, family bonding and parenting.
